Hi-Fi Resonance Damping Specialist
Lead Developer of AFbase Special Alloy Damping System
With in-depth expertise in high-end audio engineering, Tomohiro Kawakita oversees the structural vibration suppression design for multiple premium Japanese audio brands, including the research and development of cable shielding, stranding, and vibration-damping technologies. His core research scope covers high-fidelity sound field reproduction, systematic resonance suppression, acoustic material optimization, and advanced damping material application.
He leads the integrated development of electro-acoustic circuits and loudspeaker cabinet structures, and coordinates the implementation of international loudspeaker system projects across regions. Specializing in horn transducer technology, Mr. Kawakita is responsible for the acoustic tuning and technical standardization of flagship GOTO UNIT speaker units throughout the EU, North America, and the Asia-Pacific markets.

Starting from 2023, he collaborated with leading Japanese material manufacturers over three years to develop the AFbase Special Alloy Damping System — an innovative metal-matrix damping structure that revolutionizes acoustic damping materials and systemic resonance suppression technology. Originally applied in Japan’s aerospace, marine, and electrical industries, this technology has been adapted by his team for high-end audio vibration isolation.
